Forget Meghan Markle, two-year-old Emily won the Royal's heart with her cuteness overload at the Invictus Games volleyball finals

Prince Harry gave a glimpse of his parenting skills last night, happily entertaining a pal's young daughter.

The Royal took a seat for the Invictus Games volleyball finals with former competitor Dave Henson, his wife Hayley and their daughter Emily, two.

Harry, 33, didn't seem to mind the cute toddler as she repeatedly pinched his popcorn as they watched Great Britain and Denmark at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto.

Girlfriend Meghan Markle , who was pictured with Harry for the first time publicly at the wheelchair tennis on Monday, did not attend.

An onlooker said: "It was adorable. Harry looked so relaxed and was having great fun.

"He's such a nice loveable guy. He'll definitely make a great dad one day."

The prince has previously spoken of his desire to have children one day.

In an interview with Good Morning America last year he said he hoped he was a "fun uncle" to Prince George and Princess Charlotte and said he "can't wait for the day" he has children of his own.

Prince Harry is set to welcome another niece or nephew next year following the announcement of the Duchess of Cambridge's pregnancy.

Earlier, Harry wrote a touching handwritten letter to the cancer-stricken wife of a former Games athlete - giving her words of encouragement and telling her he was thinking of her.

The Prince sat down for several minutes and penned the inspiring note to Guylaine Catelain, wife of Colonel Lauren Catelain, while touring the warm-up area at the cycling competition in Toronto's High Park.

He wrote to Guylaine, 53, after being told about her condition and how her husband had been unable to compete this year as he is staying home to nurse her.

Colonel Catelain, formerly chief of the French mountain commandos, had competed at both of the two previous Invictus Games after losing both legs in Afghanistan.
