Met Gala 2018: Cara Delevingne shields her face with a beaded veil and dons VERY revealing lattice dress as she arrives with Adwoa Aboah

The theme this year is Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination.

And Cara Delevingne threw herself into the spirit of this year's Met Gala in New York City on Monday evening.

Stepping out on the arm of a fellow model Adwoa Aboah, the quirky Brit made sure it was her 'heavenly body' doing the talking as she slipped into a revealing lattice-pattern black dress.

Trying to keep the focus off her face - but failing immensely - the 25-year-old wore a bejeweled crown on her head, with a beaded veil falling from it, blocking out her features.

Beneath this, however, she showcased a brightly painted face of make-up, including a bright scarlet lipstick and a golden / yellow eyeshadow.

Atop the tiara, her cropped tresses poked up the spiky and dyed pink for the occassion.

The gown featured a high-neck and sleeves and was floor-length, and fell down in panels around her lithe physique.

It featured lattice black detailing, showing off her underneath svelte frame.

Her bust was just covered by the strips of black paneling and she wore a strip of sheer fabric around her waist, showing off a pair of lacy lingerie.

Cara added black heels to the look and was snapped arriving at the MOMA. The outfit was very reminiscent of Gothic style.

She was seen leaving Carlyle holding hands with Adwoa Aboah, a fellow model who looked equally head-turning.

Hugging evening gown, detail with a crushed black trim, which is flowing down around her frame.

She wore matching black evening gloves and carried a purse of the same dark tone, finishing the look off with killer black heels.

She added a statement to the ensemble and painted her complexion with glittery silver, and pink lip and dramatic dark eye-shadow.
