Kendall attended the gala in a simple white Virgil Abloh jumpsuit - a sharp contrast to the extravagant tenor of the party, which included Sarah Jessica Parker wearing a Nativity scene on her head and Katy Perry fixing a huge feathery wings to her.

When Kendall turned up to the Met, her mother Kris Jenner started futzing with her outfit, only for Kendall to hiss: 'Mom, stop!' per a witness who spoke to Us Weekly .

As the gala rumbled along, Kendall went viral when she was filmed gently pushing away a member of the event's staff who was backing toward her as she posed for photographs. He was close enough that it was possible he was entering her shot.

The Met Gala was a family affair for Kendall, whose half-sister Kim Kardashian was a scene-stealer in a shimmering gold Versace gown perfectly fitted to her curves.

Also at the party was Kendall's 20-year-old little sister Kylie Jenner, who hoisted on a black Alexander Wang gown with a pair of metallic sunglasses.

In February, Kylie welcomed a baby daughter called Stormi with the rapper Travis Scott, who was her date at Monday's Met Gala.

Kim, Kylie and Kendall's mother Kris is a splashily feathery gown, posing with her dramatically younger boyfriend Corey Gamble.

That night, Kendall switched into a skintight off-white cherub print mini-dress and teetered on sky-high stilettos as she headed over to the after-party.

Off-White's creative director happens to be none other than Virgil Abloh, who is also the artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear.

Kendall has a beautiful face.

During the video, she was asked about her first Met Gala look, and appeared slightly abashed when she said: 'I went with Topshop. It was cute. It was five years ago. '

In fact, it was four years ago at the Met Gala, which was a tribute to the fashion designer Charles James.
