Justin Bieber rocks a plaid hoodie as he has a giggle with a pal on the Beverly Hills coffee run.

Justin Bieber is keeping his chin up following his latest split from on-off love Selena Gomez.

The 24-year-old pop star was in high spirits as he stepped out on Friday to get a coffee with a pal.

While out in Beverly Hills, the star stopped to take photos and chat with a young fan who recognized him on the street.

Bieber rocked a red plaid hoodie and black shorts and showed off a little sandy-colored stubble on his chin.

The baby crooner has been spending a lot of time in LA, where he rents a mansion, and getting in lots of workouts enjoying the time off after canceling the remainder of his purpose tour last summer.

He was recently spotted enjoying some time with pretty blonde model Baskin Champion, 22.

'Justin has been upset about the recent break from Selena and is trying to keep busy until work things out,' a source told E! News.

Meanwhile it's been revealed that Selena   Refuses to talk to her mother about her on-again off-again relationship with the hitmaker.

The duo's romance is said to have ended recently but the 'Come And Get It' singer's mother Mandy Teefey has suggested she would be the last one to know what the situation is right now.

Asked by E! News for an update on her 25-year-old daughter's relationship with the 24-year-old pop star, she simply replied: 'You would know before I did. We do not talk about it. '

It comes after the reporter claims despite the apparent split, Justin still has his former flame on his mind.

Although he has made an effort to develop a better relationship with Selena's friends and family - but they're not convinced he's a suitable boyfriend.

The insider added: 'Justin does not care what her friends and family think and has tried to win them over, but some of them are just over it. They are there for Selena and support her no matter what, but do not feel like they need to welcome back.

"If you notice, Selena keeps her friends and Justin separate - when she's with Justin, it's just Justin, and when she's with her old friends, it's just them. They do not really overlap anymore. '

Selena's mother has previously questioned whether Justin, 24, is a suitable boyfriend for her daughter.

And the 'Wolves' hitmaker is said to be focused on rebuilding her relationship with Mandy.

The source told Entertainment Tonight: 'She wants to repair her relationship with her mother, that's a priority for her, too.'
