She's gearing up for her eagerly anticipated concert in Abu Dhabi on New Year's Eve.

Katy Perry decided to let go of the stage as she immersed herself in the local Bedouin culture in the Middle Eastern city.

Inspired by a belly dancer performing in the middle of the desert, American singer, 33, could not resist showcasing her funky moves - which saw her dropping to the floor to perform an impressive split.

Katy was keen on transferring her dance moves from her music videos to reality as she got jiggy with a belly dancer and her pals.

Wearing a sparkly silver co-ord, the blonde could be seen grooving along to the music as she made her way to the rug.

Clearly feeling confident, Katy went on displaying her flexibility as she performed the splits.

While others around her cheered, I Kissed a girl hitmaker proved she was also amused herself as she ran off giggling.


'Do not ask for a volunteer', she captioned the hilarious video.

Katy is in the midst of a grueling international tour, making more than 100 stops on five continents.

Her upcoming New Year's performance will be her first in Abu Dhabi. Last seen in Dubai at Atlantis, The Palm.

And it looks like Katy can now focus solely on her work as a judge in Miami recently ordered a Katy Perry fanatic to stay away from the singer after stalking her for the past 20 days, according to TMZ.

A 37-year-old Polish man named Pawel Juraski faces felony charges of aggravated stalking and escape, along with misdemeanour charges of loitering and resisting.

The Miami judge set his bond at $ 34,000 and made Jurassic surrender his travel documents.
